Taking new work

Your website is your new front door.

Hardly anyone walks in cold anymore. They look you up first, on their phone, before they ever call. Whatever they find becomes the first impression, and you’re not in the room for it. We’d like it to be a good one.

We build it first. You only pay if you want to keep it.

What we keep finding

Good businesses, let down by their own front door.

All of these are real, and every one belonged to a business that’s good at what it does. Not one of the owners knew.

Reservations

A restaurant's booking button had been pointing at a date six months gone.

The same broken link sat on all five pages. Somebody hungry taps it, gets an error, eats somewhere else. Nobody there had pressed their own button in half a year.
Hijacked

The web address customers still type now belongs to a gambling site.

The old domain was never cancelled, just quietly repointed by somebody. Directory listings and the business's own social profile still send people straight to it.
Unused

Sixty photos and forty-eight five-star reviews on Google. None on the website.

The most convincing material this business had was sitting on a page it didn't own, invisible to anyone who found the website first.
Out of date

The menu online and the menu on the table weren't the same menu.

Different dishes, different prices. We had to rebuild the real one from photos customers had taken at their tables.
Broken

The privacy policy and the copyright notice were both links to nowhere.

Two of the few links a careful person checks before they'll type their email address into anything.
Nowhere

Four thousand people follow this business. Searching for it finds nothing.

No website, and no Google listing either. Well known to everyone who already knew it, and invisible to everyone else.

Also, in the same year

  • A Google listing with no website link at all, just a gray “Add website” button nobody had ever pressed.
  • An events page whose newest event was two years old, still carrying the template's samples: event-one, event-two, event-three.
  • A university where the pages listing its degree programs were simply blank.
  • A church with seventeen finished pages that nothing anywhere on the site links to.
  • An organization whose every staff bio still read “Description here....”
  • A company site still served over plain HTTP, which every browser now labels Not secure.
Why it matters more than it used to

The first impression happens without you now.

For most of the history of business, the first thing anyone learned about you was something you could watch happen. A handshake. A clean truck. The way the phone got answered. You were standing right there, and if it went badly you could fix it on the spot.

That’s not where it happens anymore. It happens in a parking lot, or on the couch at eleven at night, on a phone, with nobody around to explain anything. By the time somebody calls you, they’ve already made up their mind. And they made it up looking at a page most owners haven’t really looked at in three years.

A tired website doesn’t say “they’re busy.” It says “they might be gone.”

None of that is a judgment on your business. It’s a judgment on the door. Which wouldn’t matter much, except the door is now the only part most people ever see.

How we work

We build it before you pay for it.

The usual deal asks you to pay for a promise and find out months later whether it was a good one. We’d rather just show you.

First

We go look.

We read your reviews, and we mean the sentences, not the star rating. We find the photos already out there under your name. We look at your listing, your competitors, and what your current site is quietly getting wrong.

Then

We build the whole thing.

Not a sketch or a one-page teaser, and not your logo dropped into a template somebody else is also using. The finished site, with your real pictures and your own words.

Finally

You look, and you decide.

We send a link. Open it whenever you want, with nobody watching your face. If it isn't clearly better than what you've got, tell us, and that's honestly the end of it.

Sites we’ve built and launched.

Churches, restaurants, a handyman, a glass shop, a school, real estate. All live right now, and every photo on them real.

Criollo

Melanie trains horses, and a criollo is a South American horse breed. It's been on her logo, her menus and her coasters for years. It was nowhere on her old website. Now the whole site is built around it.

What you can count on

Six things we won’t bend on.

We won't make anything up about you.

No credentials you don't hold, no founding year that just sounds about right, no staff who don't exist. If we can't verify it, your site won't claim it. You'll get a short list of the things only you can confirm.

Your photos, not stock ones.

We go find yours. A stock picture of a stranger in a hard hat tells a visitor you had nothing real to show them, and people notice that faster than you'd think.

Built for a phone before anything else.

That's what the person deciding about you is holding. We check every page narrow first and widen it after, which is the opposite of how most sites get made.

It belongs to you.

Your domain stays in your name and your account. Nothing here is rented, and there's no exit fee if you ever want to take it elsewhere.

Fast now, and fast in a year.

Hand-built pages and properly compressed pictures, instead of a page builder loading forty scripts just to show a photo of a door.

A person answers you.

There are two of us. When you send something, one of us reads it, and it's usually done that day. You won't be filing a ticket.

What it costs

The prices, in public.

Most shops won’t print a number. We will, so nothing on a call with us comes as a surprise.

Questions people actually ask

The things you’re probably wondering.

Do you really build the whole thing before I pay?

Yes. We research your business, build the complete website, and send you a link to look at. You haven't paid anything at that point and you're not committed to anything. If you don't want it, you say so and that's the end of it.

What does it cost?

Websites start at $1,000, one time. Hosting, your domain, the security certificate and changes made for you are $29 a month. For $49 a month you also get the AI editor, which lets you change the site yourself by chatting with ChatGPT or Claude. Bigger jobs get quoted, and we'll tell you the number before we start, not after.

What's the difference between the $29 and $49 plans?

On $29 you email us a change and we make it, usually the same day. On $49 you also get the AI editor, so you can make changes yourself by chatting with ChatGPT or Claude and see them live in about thirty seconds. If you update things weekly, the $49 plan is worth it. If you change the site a few times a year, $29 is plenty.

How long does it take?

Days, not months. Once you say yes, pointing your domain at the new site and going live usually happens the same week.

Do I own it?

Yes, completely. Your domain stays in your name and your account. There's no platform holding it hostage and no fee to leave if you ever want to take it somewhere else.

I already have a website. Is it worth changing?

Sometimes it isn't, and we'll tell you so. But we'll look at what you've got and send you a list of what's broken on it either way, free. People are usually surprised by that list.

Do you only build for churches?

No. About half our work is churches and Christian schools, and the other half is restaurants, trades, real estate, and small businesses of every kind.

I don't have any good photos. Is that a problem?

Almost never. Most businesses already have good photos out in the world, on their Google listing, their Facebook, or taken by customers. Finding them is our job, not yours.

What if I need something changed after it's live?

You tell us and we do it, usually the same day. It's included in the monthly cost. You won't be filing a ticket or learning an admin panel.

There’s no way for you to lose here.

Tell us about the business. We’ll go research it, build the site, and send you the link. If it’s not better than what you have, you’re out nothing but the time it took to look.
